Head of Para-Clinical Sciences

About the role

Central University is looking for a senior academic leader to head its Para-Clinical Sciences department. The successful candidate will guide the department’s academic and administrative activities while fostering high‑quality teaching and research.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic and administrative leadership to the Para‑Clinical Sciences department.
• Deliver teaching and supervisory services to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Meet all obligations expected of a senior academic member, including committee work and curriculum development.
• Undertake any additional duties assigned by the Dean or Vice‑Chancellor.

Required profile

• Current rank of Senior Lecturer or higher at a recognised tertiary institution.
• PhD or terminal degree in Medical Microbiology, Pathology, Chemical Pathology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Pharmacology, or Hematology.
• Previous experience in a comparable leadership or senior academic role is advantageous.
