Human Resources Business Partner – Ghana

About the role

Samsung Electronics West Africa is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to lead HR strategy and execution for Ghana and other West African markets. Based in Accra, you will act as a trusted advisor to local leadership, ensuring HR practices align with business goals, local legislation, and Samsung’s global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic HR guidance on organisational design, workforce planning and people risk to senior leaders.
• Lead complex employee‑relations cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, disputes and terminations, while ensuring legal compliance.
• Oversee compensation, benefits and payroll governance, supporting annual remuneration reviews and statutory compliance.
• Drive talent acquisition and workforce planning, ensuring adherence to local employment, immigration and localisation requirements.
• Support learning, training and development programmes, succession planning and talent development for critical roles.
• Facilitate performance management, objective setting, reviews and under‑performance handling.
• Monitor employee engagement trends and promote a culture of accountability and high performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR leadership within Ghana or similar West African markets.
• Deep knowledge of Ghanaian labour legislation, industrial relations and union engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to advise senior management on HR strategy and risk mitigation.
• Strong track record in employee‑relations, compensation & benefits, talent acquisition and learning & development.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
