IELTS Teacher / English Test Trainer

About the role

Student Connect Ghana is seeking an IELTS Teacher and English Test Trainer to prepare candidates for IELTS and other English proficiency exams. The role involves diagnosing learner levels, creating personalized study plans, and delivering comprehensive test preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Assess each candidate's current level and target band, then design an individual gap‑analysis plan.
• Prepare learners for all IELTS components (Listening, Reading, Writing Task 1 & 2, Speaking Part 1‑3) and conduct full mock exams under timed conditions.
• Develop lesson plans, worksheets, and band‑graded model answers, and mark writing tasks using official band descriptors.
• Conduct mock speaking interviews, provide score feedback, and teach exam mechanics such as timing strategies and question‑type handling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics or a related field.
• CEFR C2 level or IELTS band 8.0‑9.0, with demonstrable proficiency in other tests (Duolingo, TOEFL, SELTS, Pearson, Kelt).
• 1–3 years of teaching experience, preferably in test preparation.
• Familiarity with public band descriptors and basic knowledge of German or French.
