IGCSE/A-Level Accounting & Economics Teacher

About the role

Crystal Heights International School is seeking a full‑time, on‑site teacher to deliver IGCSE and A‑Level Accounting and Economics to secondary students in Accra. The successful candidate will create engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons and support learners through exam preparation and continuous assessment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver structured Accounting and Economics lessons following IGCSE and A‑Level specifications.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate academic records.
• Support students in exam preparation, including mock tests and revision sessions.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and promote inclusive classroom practices.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities and contribute to extracurricular or enrichment programmes.

Required profile

• Strong subject‑matter expertise in Economics, Business Economics and Accounting.
• Relevant teaching qualification or degree in Economics, Accounting, Business, Education or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching IGCSE and/or A‑Level students, preferably in an international school setting.
• Effective communication and classroom management skills with a learner‑centred approach.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaborative work.

• Ability to use educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and student engagement.
