Incident Response Analyst

About the role

The Incident Response Analyst will join Ecobank’s cybersecurity team to detect, investigate, and remediate security incidents across the group’s systems, networks, applications, and cloud environments. Working at a senior level, you will act as a level‑3 investigator, coordinating response actions and ensuring the continuity of mission‑critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events in the SIEM and other feeds, assess threat severity, and initiate response actions.
• Coordinate incident response with internal stakeholders, including applications, network operations, and service desk teams.
• Contain, eradicate, and recover from incidents by isolating affected systems, applying patches, and deploying countermeasures.
• Conduct forensic investigations, preserve evidence, and produce detailed incident reports.
• Develop and maintain security policies, response plans, and communication protocols.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and work with engineers to remediate identified gaps.
• Collaborate with the SOC to define use‑case scenarios and maintain an up‑to‑date asset inventory.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience (level 3) in incident response and cybersecurity investigations.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead multi‑disciplinary response efforts.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
