Information Technology Manager

About the role

The Information Technology Manager will lead the entire IT function for a steel manufacturing facility, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations that support production and business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT strategy aligned with manufacturing objectives.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve productivity.
• Prepare and manage annual IT budgets, resources, and projects.
• Supervise IT staff, vendors, consultants, and service providers.
• Maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, computers, communication systems, CCTV and access control.
• Ensure continuous availability of production planning, inventory control, quality management, and reporting systems.
• Support industrial automation and data‑driven manufacturing improvements.
• Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and test backup systems.
• Manage IT support services, resolve hardware/software/network issues, and train users.
• Negotiate contracts and monitor service level agreements with suppliers.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience managing IT operations in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
• Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
• Ability to ensure cybersecurity compliance and data integrity.
