IT Infrastructure Architect

About the role

The IT Infrastructure Architect will design, plan and govern cost‑effective on‑premise and cloud infrastructure solutions for Telecel Ghana. You will ensure the infrastructure estate is scalable, secure, reliable and aligned with the long‑term strategy of the Telecel Group.

Key responsibilities

• Architect highly available IT network and infrastructure solutions covering compute, storage, networking, virtualization, security controls and cloud services.
• Review network and software designs for compliance with architecture principles and lead design discussions with stakeholders.
• Define and enforce infrastructure architecture standards, conduct architecture reviews and provide technical approvals.
• Perform risk analysis, set success targets and manage risks throughout project lifecycles.
• Analyze capacity trends, recommend scaling strategies and support performance optimisation, lifecycle management and disaster‑recovery planning.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent; MSc is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience designing IT network and infrastructure architectures in a telecom or comparable enterprise environment.
• Cisco certifications (CCNA/CCNP), TOGAF, cloud certifications and security certifications (CISSP, CompTIA Security+).
• Demonstrated expertise in telecom networks and cloud technologies.
