IT Support Officer

About the role

Complete Farmer is an end-to-end agricultural marketplace connecting African farmers to global markets. Its IT Support Officer reports to the Chief Technology Officer (or designated IT lead) and keeps the company's hardware, software and networks running reliably. The role covers day-to-day technical support, working-tools policies and equipment, internet and telecom services, and keeping systems secure and up to date.

Key responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for IT requests and incidents across offices, fulfilment centres and remote teams
• Install, configure and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripherals such as printers and scanners
• Create and run a working-tools policy covering assignment, usage and lifecycle of company hardware
• Set up working tools, software accounts and workstations for new hires and employees moving to new roles
• Maintain and service equipment, coordinate repairs or replacements and track hardware and software licenses
• Manage internet services and bandwidth, and coordinate telecom packages with providers such as MTN
• Support onboarding with user accounts, email addresses and access permissions
• Troubleshoot applications such as Microsoft 365 and communication tools, and monitor Wi-Fi and network connectivity
• Run routine updates and patches, assist with data backups, and document support requests and procedures
• Train staff on IT tools and security awareness, and escalate complex issues to senior engineers or vendors

Required profile

• 4+ years in IT support, systems administration or a closely related technical role
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field preferred
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator or ITIL Foundation are an advantage
• Proven ability to manage ISPs and corporate telecom packages
