Junior Draughtsman – Architectural Drawings

About the role

A young, energetic draughtsman is sought to produce accurate architectural and technical drawings for building projects. The role turns architects' and engineers' concepts, sketches and markups into clear, buildable drawings using AutoCAD and ArchiCAD.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 2D drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details) in AutoCAD
• Develop 3D models and BIM documentation in ArchiCAD
• Convert hand sketches and markups into accurate working drawings
• Produce construction drawings, schedules (doors, windows, finishes) and as-built drawings
• Update drawings for design changes and keep revision records
• Coordinate drawings with structural, mechanical and electrical teams
• Check drawings for accuracy and compliance with drawing standards and building regulations
• Manage drawing files, naming conventions and backups; print and plot drawings and prepare submission sets
• Support site visits and take measurements when required

Required profile

• HND, BTech or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Building Technology, Civil Engineering or a related field, or a Technical/Draughtsman ship certificate
• Early-career candidate: 0-5 years' experience; fresh graduates with strong software skills are welcome
• Solid understanding of architectural drawing standards, scales and symbols
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail, good time management and communication skills
