Site Engineer - Construction

About the role

The Site Engineer is responsible for the effective execution of construction works on site, ensuring that all activities follow approved drawings, specifications, timelines and quality standards. The role involves close coordination with site teams, subcontractors and consultants to deliver projects smoothly while maintaining best engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities so that quality, specifications and best practices are met.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site teams for proper sequencing and smooth execution of works.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, providing timely engineering solutions.
• Liaise with Survey, QA/QC, HSE and MEP teams.
• Monitor site progress, prepare reports and support inspections and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Perform other duties as required to achieve project objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years' experience in a site engineering role within construction.
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials and site coordination.
• Familiarity with international construction standards and best practices.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD software.
• Strong technical and analytical skills, good communication and coordination abilities.
• Problem-solving, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
