Junior Engineer – Graduate Trainee (Ghana)

About the role

As a Graduate Trainee Engineer at EFT Corporation in Ghana, you will support and maintain payment applications that enable high‑availability financial transactions across the region. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with payment switches, system monitoring, and incident resolution in a PCI‑compliant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and apply Postilion, operating system and database patches according to the patch management policy.
• Provide operational support to enhance the availability of Postilion systems and transaction switches.
• Respond to, resolve and close tickets related to maintenance, change management and routine activities.
• Monitor network and application infrastructure, generate regular performance reports and escalate faults as needed.
• Administer Hardware Security Modules (Futurex or Thales) and ensure PCI compliance.
• Log and track incidents in Jira, escalating complex issues to senior engineers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date system documentation and complete required timesheets.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or candidate with up to 12 months of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn payment technologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with customers.

Required skills

• Postilion payment application platform.
• Hardware Security Module (Futurex or Thales).
• Jira ticketing system.
