Junior Technical Designer

About the role

DFWI Ghana Ltd, a wood processing company on Spintex Road, is looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Technical Designer. The role bridges the design office and the factory floor, turning validated furniture and cabinet designs into production‑ready data and CNC code.

Key responsibilities

• Validate CAD/CAM files for technical feasibility and structural integrity before they reach the shop floor.
• Use optimization software to nest parts, minimise material waste and generate accurate G‑code/post‑files for CNC machines.
• Create and organise production packets, including labels, assembly drawings and cut lists.
• Extract Bills of Materials and hardware requirements from CAD/CAM software and prepare error‑free orders.
• Act as a liaison between design and production teams to resolve technical bottlenecks and improve workflow.
• Translate client measurements into 3D models using the company’s library of cabinets, wardrobes and furniture components.

Required profile

• Good understanding of CAD/CAM environments and industrial wood processing logic.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency with standard office suites.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a “measure twice, cut once” approach.
• Problem‑solving attitude and ability to identify and address recurring workflow errors.
