About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic Kindergarten Teachers to join BASICS International, a grassroots NGO dedicated to ending child labour and illiteracy in Ghana. The role involves creating a supportive informal learning environment that prepares school‑age children for successful transition into mainstream schools.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver age‑appropriate instructional activities in an informal setting to develop foundational literacy, numeracy and social skills.
- Assess children’s progress and tailor support to ensure readiness for formal schooling.
Required profile
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year post‑qualification teaching experience.
- Valid teaching credential.
- Strong organizational abilities and excellent written and verbal communication.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
