Lab Technician

About the role

The Lab Technician ensures that raw materials, in‑process items and finished products meet quality and safety standards before release. This role supports production by performing testing, documentation and maintaining a GMP‑compliant laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Perform QC testing on the line, including pH, weight, moisture, chemical and microbial analyses.
• Conduct in‑process checks, release or hold batches, and assist the production team in troubleshooting quality issues.
• Record test results in LIMS or Excel, prepare Certificates of Analysis, batch records and maintain laboratory logs.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, prepare reagents, manage inventory and ensure the lab remains GMP‑compliant.
• Follow GMP, HACCP and PPE procedures and report any non‑conformances.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology or a related field.
• Willingness to work shifts in a factory environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel and LIMS for data entry and reporting.
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP standards.
• Experience with laboratory equipment calibration and operation.
• Ability to perform accurate and rapid QC testing (pH, moisture, microbial).
