Logistics Assistant (Sea/Air) – Ghana

About the role

The Logistics Assistant (Sea/Air) at OBT Group supports efficient logistics operations across Ghana, handling documentation, coordination and on‑site supervision at ports and terminals. You will ensure compliance with customs regulations, maintain smooth cargo flow, and contribute to high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quotations, bookings, shipping instructions, draft Bills of Lading (BL) and Air Waybills (AWB).
• Coordinate logistics activities with airlines, carriers, customs, port authorities, truckers and warehouses.
• Monitor inland transport and trucking to guarantee timely cargo delivery.
• Maintain continuous communication with clients and stakeholders, reporting exceptions and delays.
• Ensure proper documentation flow and adherence to operational guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as required to support operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in logistics or a related field.
• 3‑5+ years of experience in sea/air freight, port operations or ground logistics.
• Strong understanding of customs procedures, port handling and cross‑border import/export documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and proactive attitude.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
