Managing Director

About the role

The Managing Director will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for AUCAS Centre’s programs and initiatives. This full‑time, on‑site position in Accra is responsible for setting priorities, driving growth strategies, and aligning education, systems, and leadership efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Set organizational priorities and develop/executed growth strategies.
• Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and performance management.
• Manage senior staff and foster a culture of accountability, learning, and ethical practice.
• Build partnerships with educational institutions, employers, and community stakeholders.
• Guide design and implementation of systems‑based solutions and monitor impact metrics.
• Report to the board or governing bodies and represent AUCAS Centre at key events.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in education, workforce development, consulting or related sectors.
• Strong strategic planning, organizational management, budgeting and performance measurement skills.
• Expertise in systems thinking and organizational design to diagnose structural gaps.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership‑building abilities.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
• Advanced degree in education, business, public policy, organizational development or related field (highly beneficial).
• Commitment to ethical leadership, inclusive practices and equitable access to opportunities.
• Ability to work on‑site in Accra and travel locally or internationally as needed.
