Marketing & Communications Officer

About the role

The African Centre for Technical Training (ACTT) is hiring a Marketing & Communications Officer in Adenta, Accra, reporting to the Vice President, Growth. The post covers content development, event planning, media engagement, digital marketing and day-to-day brand management. It is a full-time position on a 1-year renewable contract.

Key responsibilities

• Communications: draft an annual communications strategy and work plan; compile content for briefing notes, fact sheets, brochures, yearbook, monthly newsletter and student guide; update the ACTT website content; manage the content bank and organize professional photoshoots at the start of each academic year
• On-brand design, content and reputation: run a weekly social media content calendar, optimize profiles across LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Google, collaborate with the audio-visual consultant on videos, and respond to online comments
• General: prepare administrative forms for procurement and logistics, submit regular reports, draft partnership, advertising and sponsorship proposals, and plan and run marketing events such as launches, conferences and campaigns
• Build relationships with media stakeholders and pursue collaboration opportunities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field
• Proven experience in marketing, communications or a similar role
• Comfortable in a start-up environment and within a participatory community
• Strong integrity and ethical standards

Required skills

• Nice to have: good editing and research skills, excellent oral and written English, attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with editing, WordPress and content management systems
