Marketing Executive (Local Hire)

About the role

Kempinski is hiring a local hire Marketing Executive in Accra to assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in positioning and promoting Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City and its outlets as market leaders through marketing activities, while ensuring compliance with the Kempinski brand.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and secretarial support for the marketing office, including scheduling, filing, phone calls and daily correspondence and financial documents such as purchase orders and expense claims.
• Handle agency and vendor invoices and act as point of contact for billing matters.
• Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in creating and implementing marketing activities such as collateral, promotions, packages, advertising, market analysis, photo shoots and hotel listings in online and offline media.
• Plan, coordinate and implement direct marketing, maintain the guest database for mailings, liaise with the F&B department and help create the media and marketing plan.
• Conduct regular competition checks and benchmarking, create office presentations and manage give-aways and collateral.
• Maintain picture storage and distribution systems (Picture Park and VFM Leonardo), provide content and images for websites according to Corporate Identity, and keep corporate marketing guidelines up to date.
• Play a support role in developing the hotel marketing budget, communicate with internal departments and external agencies, and stay updated on hotel activities, promotions and rates.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Hospitality Management.
• 3 years of experience in a media agency.
• Excellent oral and written skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of marketing basics and technical terms, and of graphic and print terminology.
• Copywriting and data analysis skills.
• Microsoft Office; Adobe Photoshop and InDesign are a plus.
• SEO, SEM, content creation, social media and digital marketing skills.
