MEAL & Knowledge Management Officer

About the role

The MEAL & Knowledge Management Officer will provide technical coordination for monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning (MEAL) and knowledge management activities across Oxfam Ghana’s programmes. The role ensures gender and marginalized groups are integrated into programme quality and supports evidence‑based advocacy and fundraising.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to programme strategy and work closely with the Programme Effectiveness Manager.
• Maintain and manage the OPAL (Oxfam Programme Accountability and Learning) system.
• Coordinate partnership processes, including assessment, onboarding, capacity building and exit strategies, with gender‑sensitive quality standards.
• Support programme design, proposal development and reporting by incorporating MEAL data and evidence.
• Collect, analyse and report on data related to outputs, outcomes and impact of programmes.
• Assist Oxfam and partners in delivering campaigns, public events and new initiatives.
• Document lessons learned and disseminate good practices.

Required profile

• Experience in MEAL coordination and knowledge management within development programmes.
• Ability to integrate gender considerations and address the needs of marginalized groups.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with programme teams, partners and donors.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the OPAL (Oxfam Programme Accountability and Learning) system.
• Technical knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning processes.
• Knowledge management expertise.
