Music Teacher

About the role

Fountain Head Christian School is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to deliver engaging music lessons to students from basic level through junior high. The role involves teaching various instruments, directing the school choir, and creating a vibrant learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach music across all levels (Basic to JHS) and cover the full curriculum.
• Plan, prepare and deliver practical music lessons for diverse abilities.
• Train and direct the school choir for assemblies, programs and competitions.
• Teach basic musical instruments such as keyboard, drums and recorder.
• Organise the music room and learning resources, and create attractive classroom displays.
• Assess, mark and provide feedback on student work.
• Maintain discipline and effective classroom management.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Music, Music Education or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Strong instrumental skill, especially keyboard.
• Good singing, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Passion for working with children and promoting musical talent.
