STEM Tutor (National Service Position)

About the role

The STEM Tutor (NSS Position) provides on‑site academic support to students in Accra, focusing on Mathematics, Science, Technology and related subjects. This full‑time role involves preparing engaging lessons, delivering small‑group and one‑on‑one tutoring, and reinforcing classroom learning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans and practice exercises for STEM subjects.
• Assess student understanding, track progress and give constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with mentors and program coordinators to develop learning materials.
• Support educational tours and enrichment activities that integrate STEM concepts.
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate with learners and families.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or final‑year/graduate status in a STEM‑related discipline or Education, eligible for National Service.
• Strong knowledge of Mathematics, Science and English with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion and non‑discriminatory educational practices.

Required skills
