Procurement and Supply Chain Analyst

About the role

The Procurement and Supply Chain Analyst will oversee daily procurement activities, ensuring that requests, approvals, sourcing, purchases, deliveries and warehouse receipts progress smoothly. You will act as the main point of contact for procurement queries, flag issues, and support the Director of Procurement in maintaining operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor procurement processes from request initiation to delivery and warehouse receipt.
• Enter and verify procurement data accurately at each stage.
• Review sourcing practices, identify irregularities and recommend improvements.
• Identify bottlenecks, follow up on delays and coordinate with responsible parties.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the Director of Procurement with clear summaries.
• Serve as the first contact for internal departments and stakeholders on procurement matters.
• Visit warehouses, project sites or supplier locations to verify information.
• Liaise with overseas suppliers for quotations, documentation and order tracking.
• Monitor import shipments, ensure proper documentation and record receipt of goods.
• Prepare payment requests with supporting documentation for review.
• Maintain records of import orders, supplier details and delivery outcomes.
• Produce weekly reports on open requisitions, exceptions, compliance and import pipeline status.
• Analyse procurement data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
