Professor in Computing and Information Systems

About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) seeks a highly qualified Professor to join its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The position is open for candidates wishing to contribute to teaching, research, and community service in one of the department areas such as Mobile and Pervasive Computing, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related General Studies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
• Supervise student projects, theses, and dissertations.
• Conduct and publish research in recognized journals.
• Engage in community service and outreach activities.
• Participate in faculty development and academic governance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Current appointment as Professor at a recognized university, or at least three years as Associate Professor with a minimum of fifteen publications in recognized journals.
• Ability to provide names and addresses of three referees.
• Willingness to undergo GCTU’s promotion process if currently an Associate Professor.
