Programme Management Specialist – Ghana

About the role

The Programme Management Specialist will support UNCDF's country programme in Ghana, leading programme development, implementation, and monitoring in line with UNDP and UNCDF policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of programmes, ensuring alignment with UNDP/UNCDF rules, develop annual work plans, manage HR and procurement needs, and update risk registers.
• Facilitate weekly team meetings, ensure accountability, and oversee drafting and quality assurance of donor narrative reports.
• Provide guidance on Responsible Party selection, maintain relationships with Project Management Support Unit and Operations Effectiveness units, and lead monitoring, evaluation and learning agenda.
• Manage budgets, financial reporting, compliance, audits, and ensure efficient use of resources including Quantum and Quantum+.
• Identify capacity‑building needs, organise training and workshops, capture lessons learned, and contribute to knowledge platforms and communities of practice.
• Act as focal point for stakeholders, represent UNCDF in donor and stakeholder meetings, and support communication of results and value‑added.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme management, financial and resource management, and stakeholder engagement within development contexts.
• Strong understanding of UNDP and UNCDF procedures, donor reporting requirements, and monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks.
