About the role

Plan International Ghana is seeking a Project Coordinator to lead the implementation of the Women’s Innovation for Sustainable Enterprises (WISE) project in the Bono Region. Based in Sunyani, the role involves coordinating high‑quality programming, financial management and stakeholder engagement to empower women entrepreneurs across several districts.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities at district and municipal levels, ensuring alignment with gender‑transformative approaches.
• Oversee financial management, compliance and donor reporting for the 4‑year, €5.5 million project.
• Establish and manage women‑friendly business hubs (HerHubs) that provide one‑stop services for women‑owned enterprises.
• Facilitate the formation and capacity building of women’s groups and associations, including governance, strategic planning and financial management training.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local NGOs, government entities and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and produce semi‑annual tracking reports on group development and overall impact.
• Travel to project communities for approximately 70 % of the time to ensure effective implementation.

Required profile

• First degree (or equivalent) in Agriculture Economics, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship or a related field.
• Demonstrated understanding of gender‑responsive development and feminist principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders at community and municipal levels.
