Project Coordinator – Kotoso, Kwahu East

About the role

The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), in partnership with the Japanese Organisation for International Co‑operation in Family Planning (JOICFP) and the Ghana Health Service, is seeking a results‑oriented Project Coordinator to lead the implementation of a two‑year project funded by the Government of Japan. Based in Kotoso, Kwahu East, you will ensure that project activities are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the identified sexual and reproductive health (SRH) needs of the community.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan, and monitor all project activities in the designated zone.
• Establish and maintain relationships with district stakeholders and community partners.
• Identify SRH needs and design innovative interventions to address them.
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, half‑yearly, and annual financial and programme reports.
• Maintain accurate inventory of project assets and commodities.
• Oversee training of community volunteers such as peer educators and CBS agents.
• Supervise project staff, conduct performance appraisals, and support work‑plan development.
• Assist in the preparation of Zonal Annual Performance Budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Middle Zonal Manager.

Required profile

• First degree in Sciences, Social Sciences or Psychology with at least five (5) years of relevant experience; a second degree is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of reproductive and sexual health issues.
• High sense of responsibility, accuracy, and sound judgment.
• Ability to work under pressure, long hours, and with minimal supervision.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; youth‑friendly attitude.
• Willingness to travel on short notice.

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer use (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
