Property Caretaker

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Property Caretaker to manage the day‑to‑day upkeep of our guest property in Kasoa, Central Region. The role combines routine maintenance, security oversight, and vendor coordination to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Routine housekeeping of communal and vacant areas (cleaning, bin emptying, vacuuming, dusting, grass cutting).
• Inspect and maintain reverse osmosis system, air‑conditioning units, fans, cookers, generator, washing machines, lighting and alarm systems; keep service logs.
• Perform basic repairs such as light‑bulb and battery replacements and other DIY fixes.
• Control building access, open in the morning and secure at night, monitor CCTV and door locks, conduct environmental checks.
• Act as first point of contact for alarms, leaks or other emergencies.
• Landscape and groundskeeping: mow lawns, clear paths, and maintain gardens.
• Exterior cleaning using pressure washer for concrete slabs.
• Coordinate external contractors for minor repairs and ensure compliance with Ghana Tourist Authority and local safety regulations.
• Keep records of service history, maintenance budgets and order supplies.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience as a caretaker.
• Reliable and flexible to work days and nights.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Minimum SHS certificate.

Required skills

• Reverse osmosis equipment maintenance.
• Air‑conditioning and generator upkeep.
• Basic electrical and mechanical repairs (light‑bulb, battery replacement).
• CCTV system operation.
• Landscaping and lawn mowing.
• Pressure washing of exterior surfaces.

What we offer

• Basic salary of 1,500 GHS paid monthly.
• 5 % commission on total bookings for at least 15 guests per month.
