Pupil Lawyer - Litigation

About the role

Nartey Law Firm, a law firm and consultancy based in the Accra and Tema region, is looking for a competent, litigation-focused lawyer enrolled at the Ghanaian Bar to join as a Pupil. The successful candidate will support the firm across litigation, client matters, corporate documentation and legal research.

Key responsibilities

• Represent clients at meetings, hearings and trials, and consult with clients to assess case details and merits
• Research legislation, case law and other legal materials; draft contracts, pleadings, reports and other legal documents
• Assist with corporate documentation, agreements, due diligence, document reviews and regulatory liaison
• Prepare research articles for publication and stay current with legislative developments
• Use legal technology and AI-assisted tools to improve research and workflow while keeping professional judgment and ethical standards
• Undertake other assignments as directed by the firm

Required profile

• Enrolled at the Ghanaian Bar with an LLB from a recognised university or institution
• Interest in litigation; prior litigation experience is an advantage
• Excellent spoken and written English
• High integrity and professionalism; detail-oriented, proactive, punctual, reliable and able to meet deadlines and work in a team

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
• Demonstrated ability to use legal technology and AI-assisted tools
• Strong legal drafting, analytical, organisational and communication skills
