Purchasing Superintendent – Mining Services

About the role

The Purchasing Superintendent will lead daily procurement and administrative activities for maintenance, repair, operating (MRO) and capital equipment across our mining operations. This senior position reports to senior management and ensures that all purchasing processes align with AMSG policies and audit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily procurement, contracting services and contracts administration for MRO and capital equipment.
• Oversee purchasing system records, parts availability, distribution, expediting and order reconciliation.
• Supervise purchasing staff while adhering to AMSG administrative policies.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies and staff development plans.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with major user departments and ensure audit compliance.
• Provide management with detailed data analysis using the ERP system (Pulse).

Required profile

• BSc/HND in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environment standards.
• Ability to work on any AMSG project site and maintain physical fitness.
