PYP Coordinator

About the role

The PYP Coordinator supports the Head of School and senior leadership in delivering high‑quality academic programmes across Nursery to Year 6. The role combines morning classroom teaching with afternoon coordination of curriculum, assessment and IB‑related activities, preparing the holder for future senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in public speaking, creative writing and core subjects, ensuring alignment with the curriculum map and timely assessment.
• Monitor curriculum alignment, book completion and syllabus coverage across all year groups, supporting teachers in unit design and assessment practices.
• Conduct classroom observations, lead collaborative planning sessions and oversee the implementation of the PYP Exhibition and other IB events.
• Manage the Toddle platform, provide training to staff, and ensure accurate reporting and record‑keeping of PYP documentation.

Required profile

• At least 8 years (96 months) of teaching experience, preferably within an IB Primary Years Programme environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead curriculum alignment, programme monitoring and cross‑school collaboration.
• Strong organisational skills with a focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Toddle learning management platform.
• Knowledge of IB PYP documentation, assessment standards and the Programme of Inquiry.
