Radiation Oncology Consultant

About the role

The Radiation Oncology Consultant will provide comprehensive cancer care within Fakeeh Care’s oncology department. This senior physician role involves managing patient assessments, treatment planning, and coordination of multidisciplinary care for both in‑patient and out‑patient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties in accordance with assigned privileges and document all patient interactions.
• Conduct thorough clinical, socioeconomic, psychological and functional assessments and record findings in the medical record.
• Develop evidence‑based treatment plans, ensure timely implementation, and act as the Most Responsible Physician for admitted patients.
• Create discharge plans on admission day, coordinate with discharge‑planning services, and complete discharge summaries and patient education.
• Provide daily inpatient assessments, maintain SOAP‑format progress notes, and respond promptly to medical consultations.
• Attend departmental meetings, contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives, and participate in teaching activities as requested.
• Adhere to Fakeeh Care documentation standards, confidentiality policies, and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification in Radiation Oncology.
• Current clinical privileges and a valid medical license.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to patient‑centered care.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft computer applications.
