R&D Engineer (Materials Science) – Remote, $30/hr

About the role

We are looking for a Materials Science expert to join our AI research team on a short‑term contract. The role is fully remote and focuses on reviewing and improving AI‑generated material science outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI‑generated material science tasks.
• Assess scientific accuracy and reasoning quality of the outputs.
• Identify errors and provide constructive feedback.
• Annotate and evaluate AI‑generated results.
• Support AI research by applying material science expertise.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Material Science, Material Engineering, or a related field, OR 4+ years of professional experience.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Ability to provide detailed feedback and annotations.
• Excellent communication skills and capacity to work independently.
• Immediate availability for 15‑20 hours per week with a 4‑hour overlap with PST.
• Access to a reliable desktop/laptop and internet connection.
