Relationship Manager, Energy (Oil, Gas & Power)

About the role

The Relationship Manager, Energy will lead a portfolio of corporate clients in the oil, gas and power sectors, delivering tailored banking solutions while ensuring strong risk management and profitability. You will act as the primary point of contact, fostering long‑term relationships and driving business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deepen relationships with assigned energy sector clients.
• Identify and cross‑sell banking products such as loans, trade finance, cash management and treasury solutions.
• Originate new business, prepare proposals, pitches and account plans.
• Support deal origination and execution in collaboration with the Head of Energy.
• Prepare credit applications, conduct reviews and ensure compliance with credit policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor portfolio quality, account performance, limits and covenants, and take remedial actions when early warning signals arise.
• Coordinate transaction processing with the Integrated Middle Office.

Required profile

• First degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline; a relevant master’s degree or professional certification (ACIB, ACCA, ICA, CFA) is an advantage.
• 5‑8 years of experience in corporate banking or energy banking.
• Strong knowledge of oil, gas and power operations.
• Proven relationship‑management and sales capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and attention‑to‑detail.
