Retail Pharmacist

About the role

mPharma Ghana Ltd is seeking a Retail Pharmacist to lead its pharmacy operations in Accra and the Tema region. You will ensure safe dispensing of medicines, provide health advice to customers, and uphold the company’s mission of increasing access to high‑quality medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and verify medications by reviewing prescriptions and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
• Offer health and medication advice to customers in response to enquiries.
• Organise and direct the workflow of pharmacy technicians and nurses, verifying preparation, labeling, order entries, and charges.
• Recruit, train, and manage pharmacy staff.
• Track inventory, order, and sell medicines and related stock.
• Adhere to mPharma SOPs and comply with regulatory requirements, including controlled‑substance records and removal of outdated drugs.
• Maintain current pharmacy registration and stay informed on legislation.
• Support additional initiatives critical to the pharmacy’s success.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and a valid PC license to practice.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Fluent oral and written English.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
