Room Attendant (Local Hire)

About the role

The Hotel is seeking a reliable Room Attendant to join its Housekeeping & Laundry team in Accra. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas according to the hotel’s standards, while providing courteous service to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Clean assigned guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, replenishing supplies, cleaning bathrooms and vacuuming carpets.
• Perform turn‑down service, restocking amenities and ensuring rooms are ready for overnight guests.
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, floor public areas, equipment rooms and pantries.
• Inspect rooms for any maintenance issues and report them to the Supervisor.
• Handle guest inquiries, provide extra items, and record relevant information on assignment sheets.
• Report lost‑and‑found items to the Order Taker and coordinate their return.
• Document special guest requests, unusual situations or incidents at the end of each shift.

Required profile

• High School or Vocational School Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a five‑star hotel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while meeting performance standards.
• Flexibility in scheduling and physical ability to clean up to 15 rooms per day, push/pull a cart and handle supplies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
