Sales Executive - Life Insurance

About the role

Vanguard Life Assurance Company Limited, Ghana's first private indigenous life insurance company, is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Executive in Accra. The Sales Executive identifies and engages prospective clients, presents insurance and financial products and gives needs-based recommendations aligned with client goals.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and qualify leads, schedule and attend client meetings, and deliver product presentations.
• Follow up to close sales and maintain client relationships.
• Prepare accurate proposals and documentation and support clients through onboarding.
• Ensure timely policy renewals.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to meet individual and team targets, comply with regulatory and company standards, and contribute to market feedback and sales reporting.

Required profile

• Strong sales, negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and customer service and relationship management abilities.
• Basic financial literacy and the ability to explain life insurance, protection and savings concepts clearly.
• Organizational and time management skills; prior experience in sales, banking, insurance or financial services is an advantage.
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or a related field preferred.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented and willing to learn the company's products, regulations and ethical selling practices.

Required skills

• Comfort with common digital tools such as email, CRM or sales tracking systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
