Sales Executive (Local Hire) – Travel Trade

About the role

A Sales Executive (local hire) manages leisure, corporate and group accounts within the Sales & Marketing department, working with local and international travel agents, tour operators and DMCs for individual and group bookings. The role supports the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing in reaching the targets set in the Sales & Marketing Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Solicit existing and potential customers, follow up established accounts and negotiate offers and contracts for individual and group business
• Set up appointments, make sales calls, run telemarketing and site inspections, and follow up lost business
• Cover assigned accounts in a segment or geographic area, visiting them at least twice a year
• Handle group and individual reservation requests personally when needed
• Maintain an efficient customer database (SFA), update customers on hotel developments and inform management of profile changes
• Prepare weekly activity reports and sales call reports, and contribute to sales action plans, special packages and promotional events
• Entertain client decision-makers in the hotel's F&B outlets and cross-sell other Kempinski hotels locally and globally
• Take part in sales training, trade fairs, sales blitzes and fam trips assigned by the Director of Sales

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
• At least two years' experience in a sales position, preferably in a 4/5-star hotel
• Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment
• Professional, confidential and ethical approach, able to work independently and under pressure
