Sales Manager

About the role

HAPPY Program is hiring a Sales Manager based in the Accra and Tema region. The role covers developing sales plans and leading a sales team, building relationships with corporate, institutional, wholesale and other key customers, and coordinating with merchandising, procurement, warehouse, finance and branch teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop sales plans, forecasts and budgets aligned with company objectives, product availability and market opportunities.
• Lead, coach and monitor sales personnel, set targets, review performance and support their development.
• Build relationships with corporate, institutional, wholesale and other key customers, looking for repeat and bulk business.
• Monitor sales results, margins, customer feedback, competitor activity and market trends, and recommend practical improvements.
• Coordinate with merchandising, procurement, warehouse, finance and branch teams on product availability, pricing accuracy, order fulfilment and delivery.
• Oversee quotations, negotiations, sales orders, follow-ups and resolution of escalated customer concerns in line with company policy.
• Ensure sales activities, discounts, credit arrangements and customer documentation comply with approved procedures and delegated authority.
• Prepare regular sales reports on targets, pipeline, risks and opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline preferred.
• Several years of progressive sales experience, including team leadership and achieving measurable sales targets.
• Strong negotiation, customer relationship management, planning, analytical and people-management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting.
• Knowledge of retail, FMCG, wholesale or institutional sales is an advantage.
