Sales Officer

About the role

The Sales Officer will promote and sell OLAM Ghana's products across the Accra and Tema region, building strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers and retailers. You will be responsible for expanding the customer base and achieving sales targets while providing excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell OLAM Ghana products to existing and prospective customers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers and key accounts.
• Identify new business opportunities and grow the customer base.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Conduct market visits to monitor customer needs, competitor activity and market trends.
• Ensure product distribution and availability across the assigned territory.
• Execute trade promotions, merchandising activities and product launches.
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports and market intelligence.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly while maintaining high satisfaction levels.
• Collaborate with the Area Sales Manager and other departments to meet business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in sales, business development or account management.
• Experience in FMCG, agribusiness, food manufacturing or consumer goods is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within the territory.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
