Sales Representative

About the role

MERIS TECH & ENGINEERING (MTE) is a technology and engineering organisation offering IT training, road and construction projects, civil works, engineering services, website development, graphic design and safety-related services. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Representative based in Sekondi-Takoradi to identify and pursue new business opportunities across its service areas.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and network, conduct sales calls and client meetings, and present service offerings.
• Prepare proposals and quotations.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients, follow up on leads and track sales activities.
• Provide regular reports to management.
• Work closely with technical and project teams to match client needs with solutions and ensure a smooth handover from sales to delivery.

Required profile

• Prior experience in sales, business development or account management, preferably in technology, engineering or related fields.
• Minimum of a high school diploma; a certificate or degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or IT is an advantage.
• Comfortable working on-site and visiting client locations in Sekondi-Takoradi and surrounding areas.

Required skills

• Strong sales, customer relationship management and negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals and meet targets.
• Clear communication in person, by phone and in writing, with good presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of IT training, civil works, construction and digital solutions.
• Proficiency with office productivity tools such as email, spreadsheets and presentations, and keeping organised sales records.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and handle several client engagements at once.
