Section Operator I

About the role

Gold Fields Ghana is looking for a Section Operator I to oversee the safe and efficient operation of circuit systems at its Tarkwa metallurgical site. The role supports the maintenance team and ensures continuous production while adhering to environmental and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Keep all circuits free from tripping hazards by cleaning material spills.
• Assist the maintenance crew with routine and planned maintenance activities.
• Execute planned work in coordination with the supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and friendly work environment in line with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Report any unsafe situations or hazards that could impede production.

Required profile

• Junior High School Certificate minimum.
• At least three (3) years of experience in a similar operational role.
• Basic knowledge of external reagent standard operating procedures.
• Understanding of CIL process plant reagent preparation and safe transfer.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work with diverse cultures.
• Hands‑on attitude and commitment to achieving results.
• Mobile equipment licence and mine permit are advantageous.
