Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer will work on‑site in Accra, safeguarding client premises by monitoring access points, conducting patrols and responding to security incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor assigned premises and control access points.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter and detect suspicious activity.
• Check identification, maintain incident logs and respond to alarms.
• Report safety or security concerns according to company protocols.
• Support emergency procedures and assist visitors and employees with security‑related queries.
• Collaborate with supervisors or law enforcement when necessary.

Required profile

• Ability to observe, assess and respond to potential security risks in real time.
• Strong communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with clients, visitors and team members.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk and patrol for extended periods and react promptly in emergencies.
• High level of integrity, reliability and commitment to confidentiality.
• Minimum high school diploma; security training or certification is a plus.
• Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
