Senior Accountant

About the role

We are a reputable automobile customization company seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead our day‑to‑day accounting operations. You will ensure the accuracy of financial records, oversee reporting, manage statutory compliance and support strategic financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and produce management accounts for executive review.
• Coordinate annual budgeting, periodic forecasts and cash‑flow projections; analyse variances and advise on liquidity.
• Ensure timely filing of VAT, PAYE, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, SSNIT and other statutory obligations with the Ghana Revenue Authority.
• Lead external audit engagements, facilitate internal audits and develop robust internal control systems.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed‑asset management and bank reconciliations.
• Supervise and mentor the finance team, allocate work and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify financial risks, recommend mitigation strategies and support business continuity.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior accountant or similar role within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Ghanaian tax and statutory regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow planning.
• Experience coordinating audits and implementing internal controls.
• Leadership skills with a track record of developing finance teams.
