Senior Assistant Development Officer

About the role

The University seeks a dynamic, self‑motivated professional to support the Director of Works and Physical Development in managing the university’s infrastructure and development programmes. This senior position requires strong judgement, initiative and precision in the fields of quantity surveying, architecture and civil engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Works and Physical Development in overall administration of the Works and Physical Development Office.
• Ensure compliance with the Technical Universities Act 2016 (Act 922) and related statutes.
• Oversee implementation of development projects and physical infrastructure initiatives.
• Coordinate with university departments and external stakeholders on development matters.

Required profile

• Research Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Architecture or Civil Engineering with a relevant professional qualification.
• Minimum six years experience as an Assistant Development Officer or equivalent in a university or similar institution.
• Demonstrated ability to produce scholarly papers and publications for external assessment.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
