Senior Assistant Development Officer

About the role

The University seeks a dynamic, self‑motivated senior professional to support the Director of Works and Physical Development. This position plays a key role in administering the Works and Physical Development Office in line with the Technical Universities Act 2016.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director in the overall administration of the Works and Physical Development Office.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and university statutes.
• Coordinate development projects and oversee related documentation.
• Support the preparation of reports, budgets, and technical evaluations.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative units to facilitate physical development initiatives.

Required profile

• Research Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or Civil Engineering with a relevant professional qualification.
• Minimum six (6) years of experience as an Assistant Development Officer or in a comparable senior role within a university or similar institution.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement, initiative, precision and professionalism.
• Computer literacy and ability to submit scholarly papers for external assessment.
