Senior Consultant – Education Outcomes Fund (2‑month, Accra)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead the Ghana Education Outcomes Project (GEOP) for a two‑month remote assignment. The consultant will act as the Education Outcomes Fund’s primary in‑country representative, driving stakeholder engagement and ensuring progress on key workstreams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and represent the GEOP programme with government, partners and donors in Ghana.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement to advance the Accelerated Learning Programme and Mainstream School Improvement Programme.
• Provide technical input and guidance on programme design, implementation and results‑based financing.
• Monitor progress against agreed priorities and report findings to UNICEF and the World Bank‑funded GALOP.
• Support the development of deliverables outlined in the Terms of Reference.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Development, Education, Public Policy or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in education sector program design and implementation.
• Proven experience working in Ghana’s education sector and with the Ghanaian government.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
