Senior Finance Accountant

About the role

Saint-Gobain Ghana is looking for a highly experienced Senior Finance Accountant to lead the full accounting function, ensuring compliance with local regulations and IFRS standards. The role will manage month‑end and year‑end closings, act as the primary liaison with external auditors, and oversee tax, treasury, and fixed‑asset activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries and ledger reconciliations.
• Produce management reports and perform financial performance analysis.
• Review supplier invoices, manage payments, and monitor ageing of accounts payable.
• Ensure timely invoicing, revenue recognition, and collection of overdue receivables.
• Prepare and submit all statutory tax returns (VAT, NHIL, GETFund Levy, COVID levy, PAYE, WHT, Corporate Income Tax) and maintain tax compliance.
• Forecast cash flow, manage banking relationships, and reconcile bank accounts.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, calculate depreciation and oversee asset verification.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance (or related field).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• Experience with tax compliance and statutory reporting.
• Financial reporting and month‑end close expertise.
• Cash flow forecasting and treasury management.
