Senior Lecturer – Faculty of Engineering (Various Departments)

About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) invites applications for the position of Senior Lecturer within its Faculty of Engineering. The role is open to candidates wishing to join one of several engineering departments, including Telecommunications, Computer, Electrical & Electronics, and Mathematics & Statistics.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Conduct and publish research in recognized journals.
• Engage in community service and contribute to faculty development initiatives.
• Participate in curriculum design and academic governance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
• Minimum of four (4) years experience as a Lecturer in a recognized university.
• At least six (6) peer‑reviewed publications in recognized journals.
• For candidates not yet at Senior Lecturer rank, eligibility to be appointed as Lecturer and undergo GCTU’s promotion process.
• Names and addresses of three referees.
