Senior Manager, Project Implementation

About the role

The Senior Manager, Project Implementation will act as the operational engine for the ACTIVATE project, ensuring that scaling interventions are delivered efficiently, with high impact and rigorous quality standards. Based in Tamale, the role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on coordination of project activities across the agriculture TVET sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of workflow optimization strategies for project delivery.
• Oversee implementation tools and processes, ensuring they meet performance and quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with partners, government agencies, and private sector stakeholders to align activities with project goals.
• Monitor project milestones, budgets, and reporting requirements, providing regular updates to the ACTIVATE Project Director.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale development projects, preferably in agriculture or TVET.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in multicultural environments and manage cross‑functional teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile).
• Data‑driven monitoring and evaluation techniques.
• Experience with budgeting and financial tracking.
