Senior Mechanical Technician

About the role

We are expanding our plastic manufacturing operations in Oshiyie and need a Senior Mechanical Technician to keep our injection moulding lines running at peak performance. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a range of plastic processing equipment in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair plastic injection moulding machines and related production equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise machine downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective repair solutions.
• Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems of production machinery.
• Support machine setup, commissioning and production changeovers.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and report equipment performance.
• Work closely with the production team to improve machine reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance procedures.

Required profile

• HND, Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years proven experience maintaining plastic injection moulding machines and other plastic manufacturing equipment.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical‑mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
